A chain of works that develop one after another in a spiral in a long-term process

Lucid Dream is a concept coined by the Dutch psychiatrist Frederik van Eeden in his book A Study of Dreams, published in 1913.

In my opinion, a lucid dream is a self-contradictory phrase that is a summary of the tension in the transition from dream to lucidity and vice versa, a transition between what is happening inside and what is happening outside - in reality. In my work, this is a challenging and long process in which the awareness in the transitions is better understood, the structure of the dreams and their reasons are also understood and the resulting work is a direct act of clarity and precision.

 

My decision to put all my works in one basket with one name from 2023 is because I see  today (2025) the collection of my works as many beads threaded into a long chain placed in one basket, to which more and more works are added, displayed in a spiral.

 

There is no one year or one one-off work that is described, measured and stands alone. There is a chain of works stacked up, dependent on each other, connected in their being like an adult who has all the ages passed. The works describe cycles on the timeline in which reality is experienced, the imprint of reality remains and the experiences are translated using familiar techniques that are done with good skill with deep awareness and gathered into a new work that is added to its predecessors. The goal is to reach a lucid dream in reality.

 

The concept of 'lucid dream' is a space in which I can describe a body of work placed in a spiral, in which works develop one from one and one after another, examining the dream in my life, the narrative that I live and of course the aspiration for lucidity. It is one continuous story in which abilities and skills are tested in how I live the dream in my life.
